Jérôme Le Blay started his career at the Rodin Museum immediately after graduating from Sciences-Po in Paris. A Special Adviser to the Museum’s Director, he supervised the edition and production of the posthumous casts made by the Rodin Museum, legal heir of the sculptor and was deeply involved in the creation of the Rodin Museum in Seoul, Korea.
Jérôme Le Blay was later recruited by Christie’s, the international auctioneer, for his knowledge and expertise in Modern Sculpture. After 7 years, not only in Paris but also in New York and London where he contributed to the sale of numerous collections including the highly successful sale of 50 works by Paul Cézanne coming from the Chappuis collection and the second Estate sale of Alberto and Annette Giacometti in September 2002, Jerome Le Blay left the auctioneer to develop his own business.
The company was established with the idea that years of experience in valuing works of art, the knowledge of where to find great material and the expertise gained as a result of visiting most of the major collections in France but also numerous houses in Europe and America could be used to offer a discreet and professional service to clients.
Jérôme Le Blay is the author of the Catalogue Critique de l’Oeuvre Sculpté d’Auguste Rodin currently prepared by the Comité Auguste Rodin. His connoisseurship and expertise in Impressionist and Modern Paintings as well as Modern Sculpture, are highly regarded by his peers and among collectors.
